UniverCity Initiated: Stakeholders and task groups have envisioned and helped implement dynamic ideas which continue to make a positive community impact.
- FortZED – Spearheaded by the Sustainable Energy Technology task group and implemented in partnership with the Northern Colorado Clean Energy Cluster and Fort Collins Utilities, FortZED successfully applied for $11.1 in Federal funding for a 5MW zero energy district (ZED) demonstration area.
- River Map – Conceived by the River Protection, Development and Enhancement task group, UniverCity Connections produced The Urban Cache la Poudre River, a pocket-size interpretive map and guide that highlights recreation, fishing, history, trails and wildlife throughout the river’s urban corridor.
- Homeless Report – This group of community stakeholders is working collaboratively with homelessness expert Dr. Jamie Van Leeuwen, Pathways Past Poverty and the local homeless population to develop a best practices-based strategy to eliminate homelessness in Larimer County within ten years.
- Mason Corridor – The Mixed Use Development and Housing task group and Transit and Mobility task group jointly hosted the June 2008 Mason Economic Corridor event highlighting plans of the City and CSU for the proposed multi-modal transportation corridor.

- Calendar – Through negotiations initiated by the Arts and Culture task group, the Fort Collins Convention and Visitors Bureau donated the fccollins.org website and calendar to serve as the community portal and master community calendar with RSS feeds from arts and culture entities including CSU.
